    Select notes, Ctrl + I → Italic text

    F2, select a word, Ctrl + I → One word italic

Worth knowing

  • Use italics for assumptions and sources.
  • Combine with Ctrl + B.
  • Rarely helps readability of numbers.

Where it goes wrong

  • Italic numbers are harder to read in dense tables.
  • Mixed selections toggle to all-italic first.
