What’s in the file

Concise financial statements

Your P&L, balance sheet and cash flow on one sheet: the latest month, the month before, the year to date against last year, and the trailing twelve months, with your margins worked out.

All three statements, by month

Two full years and the year to date, month by month and account by account, so anyone reading can see the trend instead of a single snapshot.

Trial balance

Every account with its debit or credit balance, and a total row that foots. The first thing an accountant or an auditor asks for.

Full general ledger detail

Every posting to every account, with running balances, the account repeated on each row so it filters and pivots cleanly in Excel.

A/R and A/P aging

Who owes you and who you owe, by how overdue: current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90 and over 90 days.

Chart of accounts

Your full account list with numbers, types and detail types, so the reader can follow the ledger.

How it works

  1. 1

Connect QuickBooks Online through Intuit's own sign-in. We only read: Wauvel never creates, changes, or deletes anything in your books, and we never see your password.

  2. 2

We read your statements, your ledger and your aging once, and build the workbook. It takes about a minute; very large books take a little longer.

  3. 3

Download the Excel file from the page, and find it in your inbox too — sent to your QuickBooks sign-in address.

  4. 4

Want it every month? Choose the sheets and the day, and we'll email a fresh pack monthly. That's free too — it makes you a free account so we can keep the connection, with no card and no trial, and one click in any email stops it.

  5. 5

Or do nothing, and we give the access back within the hour: no account is created, and there's nothing to cancel. If you'd like Wauvel watching your books every day, that's one click as well — you're already connected.

Questions, answered

Is it really free?

Yes. No Wauvel account, no card, and no trial to cancel. You connect, you get the file, and unless you choose to keep Wauvel, the access to your books is handed back within the hour.

Can't QuickBooks export this already?

One report at a time, yes. QuickBooks doesn't hand you the set — statements, trends, trial balance, ledger and aging, consistent with each other, in one formatted workbook. That's an afternoon of exporting and tidying; this is a minute.

What does connecting let you do?

It lets Wauvel read your books once to build the file. Intuit doesn't offer apps a read-only permission, so the commitment is ours: Wauvel never creates, changes, or deletes anything in QuickBooks. What we keep afterwards is the file (so you can download it) and your email address.

Can I get it every month?

Yes, free. After your first pack, choose which sheets you want and the day of the month, and Wauvel emails a fresh one every month. A monthly pack needs a standing connection to QuickBooks, so this creates a free Wauvel account from the email you signed in to QuickBooks with — no card, no trial. Every email has a link that stops it, and you can disconnect QuickBooks at any time.

Who is it for?

Anyone who's been asked for their financials: a bank or an SBA lender, a buyer doing diligence, a new accountant or bookkeeper, an investor — or an owner who wants a clean copy of their own books off QuickBooks.

How far back does it go?

Two full calendar years plus the current year to date. The balance sheet, trial balance and aging are as of today.
