1What it does
The Watch Window is a small dockable panel that shows the current value of any cells you add to it, from anywhere in the workbook. Change an assumption on one tab and watch the runway on another move in real time — no jumping back and forth, no split screen, no wondering whether the change did what you thought. It's the closest thing Excel has to a dashboard while you work, and it's buried in the Formulas ribbon where almost nobody looks. Double-clicking an entry jumps straight to that cell.
2The shortcut

Alt + M,Wto open the Watch Window. - 2**Add Watch**, then select the cells to keep an eye on. They can be on any sheet.
- 3Leave it docked while you work. Double-click a row to jump to that cell.

Change the margin and watch two cells on two other sheets move, without navigating anywhere. Double-click a row to jump to that cell. It's docked in the Formulas ribbon, where nobody looks.
