1What it does

Ctrl + Page Down moves to the next worksheet tab and Ctrl + Page Up to the previous one — so you can flip through a workbook's tabs from the keyboard. In a model with a dozen sheets it's far faster than hunting for the right tab, and it keeps your hands on the keyboard while you build.

2The shortcut

CtrlPage Down
  1. 1Press Ctrl + Page Down to move one tab to the right.
  2. 2Press Ctrl + Page Up to move one tab to the left.
  3. 3Hold and tap to skip across several sheets quickly.

Ctrl + Page Down moves one tab right, Ctrl + Page Up one tab left — no reaching for the mouse.

4When you use it

  • Flip between an Inputs tab and a Summary tab as you work.
  • Move through a many-tab workbook without the mouse.
  • Cycle sheets while keeping your hands on the keyboard.
