When to use it
Recalculates only the active worksheet, useful in manual calculation mode on large models.

In manual mode, edit inputs, press Shift + F9 → This sheet updates, others wait

Full recalculation
F9 afterwards → Everything updates

Force recalculation
Ctrl + Alt + F9 → Full recalculation including unchanged formulas
When something looks stale.
Worth knowing
- Manual mode is under Formulas, Calculation Options; the status bar shows Calculate when pending.
- Sheets depending on this one stay stale until F9.
- Save in manual mode and the file opens in manual mode for others.
Where it goes wrong
- Dependent sheets show old numbers.
- Easy to forget you are in manual mode.
