Freezes panes at the active cell: rows above and columns to the left stay visible while scrolling.

Worked examples
Freeze headers and labels
Click B2, Alt, W, F, F → Row 1 and column A stay put
Headers and labels visible.
Freeze the top row
Click A2, Alt, W, F, F → Only row 1 frozen
Header row.
Unfreeze
Alt, W, F, F again → Unfreeze
It toggles.
Worth knowing
- Select the cell below and right of what you want frozen.
- Alt, W, F, R freezes the top row directly; C the first column.
- Split (Alt, W, S) is the adjustable alternative.
Where it goes wrong
- Freezing too many rows leaves no room on small screens.
- Frozen panes change where Ctrl + Home lands.
