    Select a nested formula, Alt, M, V, click Evaluate repeatedly Each step shows the value of the underlined part

    Find where an error appears.

  • Step into references

    Click Step In on a reference Shows the formula in that cell

    Follow references.

  • See caught errors

    Evaluate an IFERROR See the error before it is caught

    Debug hidden errors.

Worth knowing

  • F9 on a selected part of a formula is faster for one check.
  • Restart evaluates from the beginning.
  • Works on array formulas.
