Defer layout update
Stops the pivot recalculating after every drag when the source is large.
When to use it
Defer Layout Update stops the pivot recalculating after every drag in the fields pane, so large pivots can be arranged and then updated once.

- How
Check Defer Layout Update at the bottom of the fields pane, then click Update.

Worth knowing
- Only worth it on big sources; small pivots update instantly anyway.
- The pivot looks stale until Update is clicked.
- Also useful when building many fields at once.
Where it goes wrong
- Forgetting Update leaves a stale pivot.
- The option resets when the pivot is deselected in some versions.
