WORKDAY
Returns the date a number of working days from a start date.

When to use it
The date a number of working days before or after a start date, skipping weekends and listed holidays. Due dates and delivery promises.
The shape of it
- Syntax
=WORKDAY(start_date, days, [holidays])
Worked examples
Next working day
=WORKDAY(DATE(2025,3,14),1) → 3/17/2025
One working day after a Friday is Monday.
Ten days out
=WORKDAY(DATE(2025,3,3),10) → 3/17/2025
Ten working days after Monday March 3.
With holidays
=WORKDAY(A2,5,Holidays) → 3/12/2025
Five working days after A2, skipping holidays.
Worth knowing
- The start date itself is not counted; WORKDAY(date,0) returns the date even on a weekend.
- Negative days go backwards.
- WORKDAY.INTL for custom weekends.
Where it goes wrong
- Result is a serial until formatted.
- A start date on a weekend is not adjusted forward for zero days.
