When to use it
The Student t distribution with a tails argument. Replaced by T.DIST.RT (one tail) and T.DIST.2T (two tails).

- Syntax
=TDIST(x, deg_freedom, tails)
Worked examples
Two tails
=TDIST(1.959999998,60,2) → 0.054645
Two-tailed on 60 df.
Two tails, 10 df
=TDIST(2,10,2) → 0.073388
Two-tailed on 10 df.
One tail
=TDIST(2,10,1) → 0.036694
One-tailed.
Worth knowing
- Tails 1 maps to T.DIST.RT, tails 2 to T.DIST.2T.
- x must be non-negative.
- Degrees of freedom are truncated.
Where it goes wrong
- #NUM! for negative x or tails other than 1 or 2.
