Worked examples

  • Zero

    =SINH(0) 0

    Zero.

  • One

    =SINH(1) 1.175201194

    One.

  • Negative

    =SINH(-1) -1.175201194

    Odd function.

Worth knowing

  • ASINH inverts it.
  • COSH^2 - SINH^2 = 1.
  • Grows like EXP(x)/2 for large x.

Where it goes wrong

  • Overflows to #NUM! above about 710.
  • Not an angle function.
