=CHIDIST(x, deg_freedom)
Worked examples
p-value
=CHIDIST(4,1) → 0.045500264
A statistic of 4 on 1 degree of freedom.
Critical value check
=CHIDIST(18.307,10) → 0.050001
The 5% critical value on 10 df.
Two df
=CHIDIST(2,2) → 0.367879441
e to the minus 1.
Worth knowing
- Right-tailed only; CHISQ.DIST gives the left tail.
- Same results as CHISQ.DIST.RT.
- Degrees of freedom are truncated.
Where it goes wrong
- #NUM! for negative x.
